Extra virgin olive oil obtained with Arbequina variety olives in Integrated Production. With a degree of acidity of less than 0.2º. Certified with the Protected Designation of Origin Siurana (Tarragona).
Harvested from mid-October to mid-November, just when the olives are at their optimum point of ripeness and are changing from green to black, passing through pink. The time between harvesting and pressing is reduced to a minimum and the olives do not fall to the ground but are picked directly from the tree.
The result is a very balanced and harmonious extra virgin olive oil, with a marked ripe olive fruitiness identifiable on the nose and on the palate. Great diversity of vegetable aromas, especially apple and banana, but also almond, tomato, fennel and artichoke. It has a predominantly sweet flavour very characteristic of the Arbequina variety.

The La Boella estate is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees in the Campo de Tarragona, next to the Mediterranean, where the climate of mild winters and warm summers is ideal for the development of olive trees. There they produce their premium extra virgin olive oils under the brand La Boella, using the Arbequina, Arbosana and Koroneiki varieties.
In terms of plant health, at Molí Coloma they carry out a constant and exhaustive control on their farms, minimising the use of agrochemical products to the maximum and optimising production methods. In this way, they achieve a high quality production.
The olives are harvested when they are at their optimum point of ripeness, while the time between harvesting and pressing is reduced to 1 hour and the olives are picked directly from the tree, without falling to the ground. This process results in an extra virgin olive oil with olives that are totally fresh and full of nuances.
Molí Coloma is committed to new developments in the field of olive trees and oils. For this reason, they have collaborated in the recovery of the arbosana olive and have introduced the koroneiki olive, originally from Greece, into their area, adapting it to the climate and terrain.
Molí Coloma is part of the Sumarroca Group, which also includes Bodegues Sumarroca, whose organic estate is shared.
