Extra virgin olive oil from olive trees more than four hundred years old from the "Aranyó" estate, also called Finca de los Desterrados, located in the heart of the Les Garrigues area (Lleida).
El Silencio Arbequina extra virgin olive oil has the typical qualities of the Arbequina variety. It is fresh and its aroma is fine and delicate.
The nose is intense, with predominant notes of fresh olives with slight vegetal nuances, such as artichoke, green apple, almond and tomato. The first sensation on the palate is sweetness, with bitter and spicy notes that are noticeable.
The estate of L'Aranyó, located in the area of Les Borges Blanques, in the heart of the Les Garrigues region, is a
true Mediterranean sanctuary of old olive trees with more than four hundred years. This estate, planted with Arbequina
olive trees by the Duke of Medinaceli, belonged later to the monks of Montserrat, producing by that time the finest Spanish oils.
The small fruit of these centenary olive trees produces an oil famous for its fruity aroma and smooth body without astringency: authentic, deep and delicate as the arts of wise home cooking.
