Oleum Priorat

Oleum Priorat is the largest producer of virgin olive oil in the Priorat region, in the province of Tarragona. Its mills produce extra virgin olive oil under the protected designation of origin Siurana.

The geological features of the Priorat, with its limestone, granite and slate soils, as well as a suitable climate, with cold when needed and just the right amount of humidity, are factors that favour the cultivation of olive trees and give the extra virgin olive oil produced its own organoleptic characteristics.

The main variety grown in the area is Arbequina, which accounts for 98% of the crop, with Rojal making up the remaining 2%.

By promoting quality from the farm, through the production process and right up to bottling, the two most precious treasures have been created: Oleum Priorat and Oleum Priorat Elixir. OP is a mature profile, while OPE is a green profile.
