Assortment of chocolate-covered cinnamon biscuits, butter biscuits and Parisian waffles. They come in a beautiful and colourful metal box, decorated with an illustration that pays homage to the world capital of culture: Bruges.
Jules Destrooper biscuits were born in Belgium in the second half of the 19th century by a baker, Jules Destrooper, who started making Almond biscuits as a thank-you gift to his customers. The success of these biscuits forced the baker to expand production on a larger scale.
Since 1886, Jules Destrooper biscuits have always been made according to the same recipes, using top quality natural ingredients and without additives, preservatives or colouring agents.
In 1885, Jules Destrooper opened a bakery in the province of West Flanders (Belgium), where he also sold exotic products. Using spices from his own shop, he succeeded in making fine biscuits which he called ‘Almond Thins’ and offered as promotional gifts. Soon the biscuits became so popular that he had to start producing them exclusively.
Today the company exports its products to more than 75 countries around the world and also offers production services to other brands.
