Extra virgin olive oil produced in Albendín (Córdoba, Spain) with olives of the Picual variety.
Medium intensity oil with mild notes of chlorophyll, both leafy and grassy. Very harmonious on the palate and evolves persistently towards ripe almonds. In the mouth it is bitter and moderately spicy.
It is an oil with a high content of natural antioxidants, which makes it particularly good for health and for its stability.
Food pairing: It is particularly recommended for use raw, in salads, toast, fish, pasta or even desserts.
The oil produced and bottled in Suerte Alta is extra virgin olive oil, whose special and exclusive character is given by its triple characteristic of being OWN PRODUCTION, ECOLOGICAL and BAENA APPELLATION OF ORIGIN.
Being OWN PRODUCTION, we can control that all the oil produced, prepared and bottled in Suerte Alta comes only from the olives of the estate, 80% of which are traditional olive groves planted since 1924 by my grandparents. All the work and care, from the tree to the bottle, is carried out by a team of people, trained over these twenty years, with great experience and dedication, carrying out an early harvest, at the beginning of November, to obtain the olives . at the optimal moment of maturation, always directly from the tree, cold grinding using exclusively mechanical processes and subsequent decantation. All the oil thus obtained is subjected to rigorous analytical control by approved collaborating laboratories.
ORGANIC CULTURE, under an official certificate from the Andalusian Committee of Organic Agriculture, CAAE, guarantees that the oil obtained is free from residues of herbicides, insecticides and chemical fertilizers, that the work carried out aims to maintain the soil and the vegetation of the farm. In a sustainable manner, by increasing the richness of organic matter in the land and the biodiversity of the farm. We are particularly proud to have achieved the energy balance between consumption and expenditure, thanks to the bioclimatic design of the oil mill and its ventilation system by thermal chamber, its plant screens, its photovoltaic solar collectors and the recovery and use of the olive pit itself as a biofuel.
THE REGULATORY COUNCIL OF THE BAENA APPELLATION OF ORIGIN, certifies that all the oil bottled under its Back Label has been produced and elaborated in the olive grove and the oil mill of Suerte Alta, coming from sealed deposits and controlled by its staff in the winery itself and classified as Extra Virgin by the Official Panel of Tasters of the Designation of Origin and in accordance with the analytical controls carried out by its approved Collaborating Laboratory. During its first milling campaign, 2006-2007, Cortijo de Suerte Alta obtained the Gold Medal for Quality in the Prize awarded each year by the Baena Designation of Origin.
