Sabores de Asturias scorpion fish pâté - 150 gr
Scorpion fish pâté
Scorpion fish pâté is a delicious Asturian speciality created by José Mari Arzak in the 1970s. Originally, it was made only from scorpion fish, but nowadays, due to its rarity, hake is also added. In addition to these fish, the pâté contains crab, tomatoes, eggs, cream and Pedro Ximénez wine. Made by hand using products from the Cantabrian Sea, this pâté is mild on the palate and has a strong taste of rock fish.
It is best served with breadsticks and mayonnaise or pink sauce. Scorpion fish pâté is very popular at festive occasions and is considered to be one of the most popular starters in Spanish cuisine.
On the coast of Asturias, one of the richest in fish and seafood in the Cantabrian Sea, lies the town of Avilés, whose fishing tradition goes back centuries. This long tradition, together with the quality of the products of the sea and the land of Asturias, provides Conservas Laurel with the basic ingredients for the traditional production of its preserves and traditional ready meals.
Under the Laurel brand, old recipes are combined with new and exclusive creations. The correct selection and appropriate handling of the raw material, as well as the exclusion of any type of additive or non-natural component (colouring, antioxidant preservative...) are its seal of quality and guarantee for healthy eating.
