Santa Casilda SCA is a family business that Jesús Fernández de Castro and Tránsito Habas Sánchez created 26 years ago, as a life project as a couple, joined by our daughters Tránsito and Elena and our son Jesús. What began with work in the olive grove and caring for livestock has evolved over time into a business dedicated to organic farming and livestock breeding.

Today, we process and bottle organic extra virgin olive oil, which we market under the Olivar de la Luna brand. Mayte Ruiz de la Rosa and Valentina Moreno Rodríguez joined the latter activity and took over the project on their own. The company takes its name from the estate where we live, where the olive grove and oil mill are located. Our objectives are to care for the environment, harmonizing production with the needs of the landscape and nature, and to offer the consumer a product of excellent quality and health benefits.

Our Olivar de la Luna organic extra virgin olive oil is cold-processed at the Santa Casilda olive mill. The olives are harvested at the beginning of November, exclusively on the tree and never on the ground, and after careful picking of the fruits, they are crushed immediately after being picked, which guarantees its low acidity, never higher than 0.2. It comes exclusively from olives of our own harvest. The main variety is the "NEVADILLO BLANCO", native to the region, but other minority varieties such as Lechín, Picudo and Manzanillo are also used.
