Premium extra virgin olive oil from the Picual olive variety produced in Baeza, province of Jaén.

Intense green colour, clean and bright. Intense green olive fruitiness, complex, with herbaceous notes in the foreground and fresh fruit immediately after. Artichoke, tomato and olive leaf are softened by fruity aromas of banana, green apple, grape and almond.

The palate is elegant, first fruity and almondy, then lightly bitter, reminiscent of artichoke and cardoon. Then comes the spiciness, mild but progressive and persistent. The finish is reminiscent of green pepper on the lips. It is a well-structured oil, very balanced and harmonious.

Recommended uses: raw for seasoning, marinating, pairing and to enhance the flavour of both simple and more elaborate dishes.

Balcón del Guadalquivir has a high quality painted and screen-printed glass bottle. It also has a measuring cap with a natural wooden head.

The San Felipe Apóstol cooperative is located in the municipality of Baeza, in the geographical center of the province of Jaén and in a dominant position in the historic region of La Loma, on the right bank of the Guadalquivir, an olive-growing region since antiquity and a master in the extraction of Andalusia's finest green gold.

The Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza San Felipe Apóstol, which currently has 500 members, was founded in 1960. From then until today, it has been dedicated to crushing olives from the olive groves cultivated by its members - some 200,000 trees belonging to the Comarca de la Loma and other neighboring districts - and bottling the extra-virgin olive oil marketed under the Balcón del Guadalquivir brand.

Thanks to our constant growth and drive for improvement, the current oil mill has been built with modern facilities including, principally, a large cellar, our own bottling plant, a pitting machine, a washing water treatment plant, an olive reception yard and a plant whose machinery enables us to grind all the olives harvested by our olive growers on the same day, ensuring that our oils retain all the freshness, aroma and properties of the fruit, giving your dishes an exquisite flavor.
