Pure fruit juice
This drink is obtained by cleaning, crushing and pressing fresh fruit (without heating). It passes through a base of diatomaceous earth and cellulose (limestone, porous and absorbent) to recover suspended plant particles. This is a filtration process.
Finally, the last physical process before bottling is pasteurization at 85ºC.
The resulting fruit juice is totally pure. It contains no additives (colorants or preservatives).
Company information :
Alain Millait has specialized in the creation of high-quality, artisanal fruit juices and nectars since 1993.
Alain Millait, the son of arboriculturists in the Lyon region (France), raised sheep for 10 years, helping to rehabilitate the local sheep breed.
Later, he took charge of the orchards and created his own plots, applying cutting-edge techniques to prevent the use of pesticides.
Finally, he develops his first range of juices and nectars.
In 1997, he had the idea of having 60 Relais & Château sommeliers taste his creations to get their opinion. Seduced by these top-of-the-range products perfectly suited to gourmet restaurants, they encouraged Alain in his project.
Until then, the juice offering had been purely industrial, but Alain Milliat soon realized that there was a niche market for another range of juices, prepared in the traditional way, paving the way for a range of natural flavors.
In view of these positive prospects, he decided to expand the range and focus on sales to cafés, hotels and restaurants, with whom he shares the same quality requirements.
The grandson and son of farmers, and a farmer himself, Alain Milliat took over the family farm in Orliénas, near Lyon, in 1983.
For 15 years, he restored and installed new plots of land in the traditional craftsman's manner, caring for them like a real garden and integrating natural methods to improve respect for the environment. Considering his aesthetic universe to be somewhat limited, he then imagined another horizon beyond his orchards.
The first six juices and nectars were created in 1997. Alain chose 60 establishments at random from the pages of the Relais & Châteaux guide and sent his fruit juices to sommeliers. This initiative enabled him to fine-tune his textures, sugar-acidity balance and colours. The brand is now present in over 20 countries.
Even today, Alain Milliat continues to grow without ever compromising its original aim: to offer sincere, authentic juices for unique tasting experiences.
