ATHENA Competition

The ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition has been held annually in Greece since 2000 to recognise the best extra virgin olive oils in the world. The jury of the competition is made up of international tasters with an in-depth knowledge of olive oil, as well as a great deal of experience in other competitions. The maximum score for participating olive oils will be 100 points and prizes will be awarded as follows: Double Gold Medal (for oils achieving a mark of between 95 and 100 points), Gold Medal (for oils achieving a mark of between 85 and 94.9 points), Silver Medal (for oils achieving a mark of between 75 and 84.9 points) and Bronze Medal (for oils achieving a mark of between 65 and 74.9 points).
