The Carrasqueña is a variety of olive with a thick and resistant skin and its pulp, rich in oil, is ideal for the production of high quality extra virgin olive oil. Originating from the region of Extremadura, the Carrasqueña is one of the oldest varieties, dating back to Roman times. Carrasqueña olive oil is characterised by a sweet and mild flavour, with a balanced, very light bitterness and spiciness. It has a golden yellow colour and its fruity aroma is intense, combining leaf and grass and showing slight hints of almond.
